job title
Temporary Kitchen Cook
Cook and plate our brunch, cinema and experience menus in our small forest kitchen — prepping, cooking to order and keeping everything spotless.
what you'll be doing
- Prep ahead of service, then cook and plate to order for our guests.
- Wash up plates, utensils and equipment throughout the shift.
- Keep the kitchen clean at all times — we work a clean-as-you-go system.
- Use our in-house digital hygiene system to record fridge temperatures and keep dates logged on items.
- Hours
- Mainly Saturdays, 12pm – 9pm. Depending on bookings this may mean a later start or an earlier finish. Extra hours may also be available on Fridays and Sundays during events.
- Pay
- At least the UK national minimum wage for your age, paid weekly through our payroll system.
- Contract
- Temporary until the new year. Extra hours at peak times, and it could lead to a permanent position.
- You'll need
- Aged 16+, able to work independently and stay calm under pressure. Good personal hygiene is essential — you'll be cooking food for our guests.
- Hygiene
- We hold a 5-star food hygiene rating and follow our procedures strictly — temperature checks and date logs are part of every shift. If you already hold a Level 2 food hygiene certificate that's within its recommended renewal date, we'll need to scan the original for our records. If you don't, that's absolutely fine — we'll put you through a food hygiene course (if you leave before the end of the contract, the cost of the course is deducted from your final wage).
